One of the important components of the Legacy Heritage Fellowship Program is giving back to the community. Each year the Fellows accomplish that by creating and implementing a community service project called the Middle East Public Service Initiative (MEPSI). It could be an Israel/educational seminar for high school or college students, a relevant web site, a Congressional hearing utilizing a panel of experts, or a Sunday school series leading up to skills in writing Letters to the Editor. Or, it could be a brand new idea.
In addition to serving the community, Fellows also benefit from enhancing their skills in event planning, web site development, human dynamics, motivation and management.
